Happy Spring! How has everyone been? Blake and I are tired but
doing well. Last Saturday was incredible! Both of our shows at
Montessori Center for the Child and at Plaza Duckpin Bowl went
super well! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us
and said, "Hello!"
Our next big event will be at the Blue Ridge Beltane
Festival, in Stanardsville, VA (near Charlottesville), at
the Heavenly Acres Campground. You can get more info and
register for the weekend for for a day at www.blueridgebeltane.org.
Hurry, if you want to register AND save some money! There is
a discount if you register before this Saturday, April 25, at
midnight--so before you go to bed on Friday! The
festival will run from May 8-10.
Included in this year's musical line-up, in addition to Blake
and me, are an open-mic (first time for this event!), Kokopelli
(a singer/songwriter/guitarist from the DC area), our good
friends Cassandra Syndrome, and the eclectic, energetic group
Dragon Song!
All of these bands are crowd-pleasing favorites who have played
the festival before. We are quite honored and excited to have
them all playing on the same day!
While the music is a focal point, there will also be workshops,
kids' activities, a blessing of the wee ones, rituals, the
Maypole, and MUCH MORE!
As Virginia's longest running Beltane festival, there is a lot
of tradition but a lot of new and exciting stuff as well.
And ALL are WELCOME! We are happy to welcome all people who are
pagan, pagan-friendly, spiritual, earth-friendly and even just
curious to see what the festival is all about.
This will be a weekend of fun, of friends, of love and of magick.
You will NOT be disappointed if you come--but if you don't,
you'll always wonder what you missed.
So, we will be busy preparing for this terrific event in the
next few weeks, so you may not hear much from us. HOWEVER--you
will hear lots from us on that Saturday, May 9!
Have a wonderful week, and we'll see you soon!
Love and blessings,
